In India it's fairness creams and in USA it's tanning booths and bronzing sprays.

Basically everyone's trying to achieve what is termed that "healthy glow" sported by Beyonce and practically every girl you see hip hop videos.

Not only skin tone but body type is also becoming "normative" in worldwide mainstream media driven pop culture.

More or less everyone is starting to look the same.

Compare pics of Mary Jo Blige to Beyonce nowadays. I can barely tell those two apart. Throw Janet Jackson in the mix and you have triplets.

Beyonce's color would be fine in India, but not ideal. Lighter colors would be better. Good point about body type.

Check out Beyonce's and Mary J's latest album covers. They both look like white women.

In fact, I almost couldn't tell them apart. They look like twins.

The same color schemes and make-up techniques are used on both of them.
